[ACTION REQUIRED] TYPO3 Release Notes v2025.07.3

Dear colleagues,

During the day a new TYPO3 Release will be rolled out on all websites. This update will bring the following changes:

Usability Enhancement

  • Rework Reference Gallery Configuration The creation of reference galleries will now be less complex. We have extended the page type and integrated all configuration settings into a new section within the page properties called “Reference Gallery.”

    [ATTENTION] The facet configuration has been removed and now uses the selected category information (Facet categories). This means that the labels for the filtering options will now reflect the category names. Please ensure there are no spelling mistakes in your category labels. More details and a full introduction will be available here on brand.aco.


    In Addition to these changes, we have added description text to every field that supports you while creating the reference gallery. The front-end view hasn't been changed.

  • Removed databased references: We have removed the old reference feature that has been filled with the old databased references templates.
  • Contact Card adjustments: The layout and behaviour of the contact card has been improved by increasing the space around the card and improving the display in tablet and mobile view.

Accessibility Enhancements

  • [ATTENTION] Claim Banner and Footer: Because of the low contrast issue we have changed the color of the claim banner and the footer.

  • Focus Keyboard Navigation Forms: The visible focus while navigating through the form with keyboard has been improved to be more visible as a box around the field in the frontend.


  • Added Labels and titles: To improve the websites for screen readers we have added required labels and titles for some elements like select options in form, contact search, lates content teaser and much more.
